WARWICK GROUP SECURES $300,000 IN FEDERAL FUNDS FOR SOUTH CAROLINA’S GRANDSTRAND IN THE PRESIDENT’S BUDGET

Washington, D.C., March 28, 2022 -- Warwick Group Consultants, the nation’s leading coastal advocacy firm, has secured $300,000 in federal funding in President Biden’s FY23 Budget. This funding will enable the Corps of Engineers to continue a study to address flooding for communities situated along South Carolina’s Waccamaw river.

The Waccamaw River has consistently flooded during tropical storms, heavy precipitation, and king tides coinciding with severe weather events, flooding homes and creating areas of standing water.
