WARWICK GROUP SECURES $500,000 IN THE FY24 WORK PLAN TO IDENTIFY NEW BORROW SITE FOR THE CITY OF NORTH WILDWOOD

Washington, D.C., May 10, 2024 – Warwick Group Consultants, the nation’s leading coastal advocacy firm, has secured $500,000 in funding in the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) FY24 Work Plan for a general reevaluation report to identify a new borrow site for the City of North Wildwood’s beach nourishment project.
The City of North Wildwood has sustained severe erosion year after year to its coastline. This funding will allow the City as well as USACE to identify additional sources of sand for North Wildwood’s federal beach renourishment project. Further, this funding will ensure that property, critical infrastructure, and life are better protected from future coastal storms and erosion.
